What’s impressive is that Gray was able to have success despite having to pitch the majority of his games in Coors Field. Minor particularly found success pitching during the day as he went 5-2 with a 3.2 ERA. Gray, on the other hand, was a .500 (4-4) pitcher during the day with a 4.59 ERA. The Rockies will of course be without outfielder Ian Desmond, who opted out of playing in the shortened season. But the strength of this team still remains in the infield with hitters like Nolan Arenado, Trevor Story and Daniel Murphy. However, facing a lefty like Minor could provide a stiff challenge. The Rockies went 25-36 against lefties last season for a loss of 5.85 units.
